My name is Natalie, I am an Ofsted registered childminder (http://www.ofsted.gov.uk ), who is fully insured through the National Childminding Association (N.C.M.A) of which I am also a member. I have had medical checks and been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau. I have been a childminder since 31/08/06, and have a childcare background of 6 years.
I successfully ran as senior co coordinator a before and after school club, and play scheme for 3 years. This was my first ever job in the childcare environment.
I then went onto be senior coordinator at a nursery and residential unit for special needs children for 3 years. Here I worked with children from birth to 18 years of age.
I also lived in the South of France for 1 year on a family holiday camp where I ran the kids club. This was an amazing experience, I was able to not only continue to develop my child care skills, but also work with a diverse range of children and adults. Throughout all of my childcare employment I have gained a number of qualifications ranging from a Higher National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies to first aid.
My aim is to provide a safe and caring environment where every child in my care is able to develop their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical skills. A registered childminder has the advantage of caring for children from birth to 11/12 years offering an unrivalled continuity of care. Children can build a strong relationship with a single carer and a small group of children, and brothers and sisters can be cared for in the same setting. I ensure that each day we have a wide variety of activities to develop and stimulate each child depending on their age and stage of development. We go on at least one outing everyday. Please see ?our day'. Each child is an individual and therefore the care I give them will always be based on their individual needs.
