Mitchen Srap Metals was formed in June 1991 with employees who had a wealth of experience in the recycling industry. We offer a total recycling facility for all types of metal wastes from Scrap Iron to Gold from PCB's.
Our recycling facility based in Leeds processes all grades of scrap metal ready for the primary consumer. And we are one of the Norths leading buyers of aluminium, having several large UK aluminium producers and stockholders as our customers.
Our competitive advantage is not only a financial one but also the fact that we take great pride in our level of services and efficiency. To enforce this we are currently committed to achieving ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1986 and we have successfully attained the standard required for Investing in People accreditation. We are approved recyclers by the British Secondary Metal Association and are active members of The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Federation of Small Businesses.
Our commitment is to improve and increase our recycling capabilities and to this end we are working very closely with Business Link, Groundwork, Leeds Environmental Business Forum and Business Environmental Association Pudsey. Where we have set up a scheme using our facilities as a recycling centre for Waste Paper, Cardboard, Wood etc. with a view to continually expanding this service to eventually offer a facility where most business and public waste can be processed and recycled, as opposed to landfill.
